Ran in to this over the weekend and just wanted to convey the information for anyone that may run in to this in the future. The setup is a new T46U with up to date firmware and two EXP43 expansion modules running the following firmware: 1.0.1.9. With POE the second side car would only show the welcome window. We found that the main screen flashed that a power adapter was necessary when removing and re-adding the second module. After finding an adapter we plugged it into the phone prior to the power and it was began working without issue or having to actually be plugged in to a power source. Just a weird little issue/solution for anyone that may log into it.

Too long didn't read:
If your second side car for a T46U is not working it may just need a power adapter plugged into it, even if it is not plugged in to a power source.

This is noted in the hardware specs that with more than one side car has to be separate powered.

Yessir, as I did read that in the documentation. I just noticed and was conveying an oddity, as I was trying to attach a power adapter that came with a separate device. This lead me to plugging it in to the device prior to the power as a test to make sure it was the correct size, and that lead to the reason for the post. The secondary side car came online with only POE and an adapter that was not connected to any actual power. This is not a post for how it should work, just an interesting little observance.
