Hi
@Entreat
You haven't clarified this, but I'm assuming you have a T54W specifically judging from the 96 in front of your version.
There a few points to consider before you upgrade, your case is not a simple one:
a) You need to be on the minimum 3CX version according to our guide , BEFORE upgrading to the latest. Many phones have a safety feature preventing you from jumping across major versions unless you install the in between versions first.
https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-t5-series/
b) After reaching the minimum version, you need to be aware the T5 series faced a firmware bug in the past that would soft-brick
some of the phones during upgrade. Yealink was quick to provide a solution for that, but you need to be aware of it nonetheless. You might have to use this help document to reach 96.86.0.45, before the 3CX management console can upgrade you to 96.86.0.63
https://support.yealink.com/en/portal/knowledge/show?id=612b5fcd8c4dcd0723922195
c) You currently have version 96.84.106.6
96 = Model
84 = Major firmware version
106 = Solution version
6 = Minor firmware version
Your solution version is not 0 which means this is a custom firmware. This could potentially be you biggest hurdle. You are not currently using the global Yealink firmware and this
may mean that you will not be able to install other firmware that does not contain the 106 (software lockout preventing you).
You might have to contact whoever sold these devices to you and ask them for support. Or you might have to contact Yealink directly. This is 100% something we will not be able to help you with, and I think you should probably investigate this part first.
I hope this is useful information to you, let us know if you have additional questions or if you manage to find a solution!
