Hi all,
We are in the process of testing 3CX and probably going to migrate our phone solution to 3CX.
The web-client and phone app work great. But i also wanted to test a desktop phone.
I have a new, out of the box, Yealink T54W. I added it to a user thru the web app admin. Set it as router phone. entered the MAC address, and then plugged in the phone.
The phone was recognised correctly and was provisioned. But......
I think it was provisioned with the wrong credentials somewhere. Because after provisioning, the phone didn't register correct and our office IP-address got blocked!
So my questions are:
- Is my assumption correct that the phone was provisioned with wrong credentials?
- What are the correct credentials to use? the ones in the "ip phone" tab under Auth ID / Password?
- Why did it not provision with the correct credentials?
Now we have to wait for the ip-ban to be lifted before we can try again :-(
