3CX SMB - Small Business Hosted Plan.

I cannot get the physical Yealink T54W to register as a Router Phone. After setting up Router Phone via 3CX Web Client Admin Console, with MAC address, I reboot phone and Auto-provision appears to work as it gets the 3CX logo but shows No Service with Warning: Account Unregistered.

Firmware is most recent according to Yealink site: 96.86.0.70

Logging into web portal for Yealink T54W Phone shows what appears to be my correct Account settings under Account | Register, but Register shows: Register Failed

I'm new here with 3CX and not sure how to proceed from this. Advice?

Thank you in advance.

Firmware has been updated and now matches with version in the link you supplied in post above.

However, now, after upgrading firmware and then deleting the phone from the user account in 3CX web admin console, and factory resetting the phone, I attempted to add to the User extension again by using the (Configure a phone) button, it will not register at all after a reboot.

Is there a way to have it auto-reprovision again from scratch?

Try factory resetting the Phone.

Tried a factory reset and it is not getting the 3CX profile at all.

After it boots, and gets an IP, it says "Config Updating!", but then skips update.

I'd attempt to manually provision, but there doesn't appear to be a useful help document for exactly what settings to change in the T54W web console and the terminology does not exactly match the wording in 3CX's user Edit / IP Phone settings tab for items such as Auth ID, Provisioning Link, Username, Register Name, SIP Server Information, Server URL, so I feel like I'd be randomly guessing at manually entering information into the correct fields in the phone web portal to get it to match.

This guide is less than useful. I followe the guide exactly with the steps in this guide:
  1. Login to your 3CX Web Client and go to “Admin”.
  2. Select the “User” for which you want to add a phone and go to the “IP Phone” tab.
  3. Click “Configure a phone”.
  4. If this is the first phone in your network, make it a router phone. If you have others choose whether to make this a router phone or specify the router / SBC for this phone.
  5. Choose your Yealink T5 series model from the drop-down menu.
  6. Enter the phone’s MAC address without dashes or colons, and click “Add phone”.
  7. Connect the phone to the network within 14 days.
  8. If it is already connected, restart it.
  9. The phone will be configured automatically.

I followed these exactly and the phone will not provision itself.

So, what gives and why will the 3CX system not allow me to register this phone after I originally deleted it following the firmware update?

When you add a phone with the wrong firmware, the system will blacklist the Public IP address of the network from which the phone was added, as only the new firmware can have the router phone capabilities.

Please try this again using the steps you outlined and ensure you choose it as a router phone now that the phone has the correct firmware and let us know.
