Hello,

Just set up a new system and using a W56H handset and the base. I went through all the documentation online and set everything up correctly. It was working at first, then we come in this morning and its not working. I factory reset it and went through all the steps again and the provisioning seems to have worked fine as the device password was changed to whats in 3CX however on the Status page for the SIP account all I keep seeing is "Registering" and "Registration Failed."

I have already made sure the pbx allowed remote connections. Not sure why this stopped working.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot?

Much Thanks in Advance

After hours of trying to figure this out and finally posting on here when I got fed up, I switched the SIP Server transport setting on the phone to TCP and it worked. However, I know that that UDP port is open as well. Does 3CX not run open port 5060 via UDP?

I set this up using PBX Express and no other services are running on the machine that would conflict with port 5060/udp.

Any idea?

Hello @correlative

It could be a number of issues that prevent a phone from registering in a remote location. Check if SIP ALG is off in your firewall of the remote office and that you have port forwarded the assigned ports to the local IP of the base.
TCP also helps if you are experiencing packet fragmentation and packets are too large for UDP.

Hi @YiannisH_3CX,

SIP ALG is not on. All the firewall tests pass completely 100%. The correct ports are forwarded. Not really sure where to go with this really. a UDP port scan with nmap does not show 5060/udp open. Is there somewhere in the config that I can check this?
