Hey there. Have an odd occurrence. Upgrade to v20 latest from v18. That was smooth and went great. Have a Yealink W70B Dect Base with 1 handheld. When the phone comes up in the 3cx console it shows 2 Phones with same MAC and extension. Under Phones tab is where it shows the phone twice. So what is happening a call comes in. Only 2 phones at the site. When call is picked up from handheld when ringing it is dead air when it is an external call. Internal direct call to it works fine. I ran a capture and I see 2 separate Invites being sent to it at the same time. Only 2 phones are in the ring group. PCAP shows the 1 deskphone invite fine, but I see 2 to the handheld extension. I am suspecting this is what is causing the issue. Another site with same W70B and latest firmware does not have the issue and shows up fine in Phones (only 1 listed). Wondering if anyone has seen this and what is best next steps. To note, only 2 phones at the site so SBC was not really looked at. Thanks in advance.

Is the base provisioned as STUN?

Is the base provisioned as STUN?
Hi there. Yes, was setup as STUN. I have read thru the suggested setup with a router phone and can configure one if needed. Few questions on the different approaches:

1) Can I pre-setup the router phone from another location/different network, then take it to site, plug-in, and then re-config the base station to connect thru it? Or should the router phone and base station all be configured/added while onsite?

2) If the one site has a working desk phone thru STUN and we put the router phone there as well with the yealink base station connecting thru it, will the existing desk phone keep working or will I need to reconfig that one as well? I know in end all should go thru the router phone, but initially wondering if the existing desk phone will have any issues?

3) In interim until can get the router phone setup, if STUN, I see we should assign local sip sig port on the yealink base to another port like 5065 (tcp/udp) and rtp ports 14000-14011 (udp). Assign a static ip to the base station. Then Port forward to these ports. On the phone/user in 3cx admin would we have to add these ports to the 3cx side config? Or are these local ports just on the yealink side?

In end since only 2 phones here (desk phone and w70b) eventually will have router phone with the handheld. But seeing what can do in interim until can get the router phone setup and others connecting thru it.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

1) Yes but only configure the W70 after the phone is up and running at the final site (3CX needs to learn its final IP and tell it to the W70).

2) The existing STUN phone is not affected by this. However, it can still fail independently regardless (due to STUN being used).

3) We no longer support STUN so there is no option to set the port anymore

In the interim there isn't much you can do, STUN will either work or it won't unfortunately..
Make sure to factory reset and reprovision fresh when swapping from STUN to SBC mode.

This worked perfect. I ended up redoing all 3 phones. Setup router phone, static ip the router phone. Plug that in on-site. Factory reset w70B, re-add that to 3cx via router phone, and then redid the front desk phone T48S after factory reset and updating latest firmware. I see what it does where it proxies thru the router phone. Works great. Real easy to add and configure everything. Thanks again for your recommendation/assistance. Now don't have to worry about STUN.
