You don't have enough rights to manage 3cx gateway for skype!

Hi.

We are on a mulit-home machine and just installed the 3cx gateway for skype. We are trying to follow the step-by-step guide and can't get beyond this initial error to create the setup for skype.

Any suggestions?

Hi guys.

Simple fix. In Vista you have to run the '3cx gateway monitor' in administrator mode. Otherwise, the gateway won't be able to create the windows user account for skype. An addendum should be added to the faq. Just a suggestion.

If on the same Machine you have Multiple Users Logged in, and one of those users is "Managing" the Skype Gateway a second person that logs in cannot run the program even if he is an administrator. That would lead to one user screwing up the other user's settings.

To get over this issue, go to the open windows accounts and simply terminate the skypegateway.exe from running.
Go back to your account that Must have Administrative Rights and do what you please with your gateway.


Remember, only one user can run the gateway at a time. And only users with administrator rights can run it.

Hello,
I still have the problem with:
You don't have enough rights to manage 3cx gateway for skype!
I have checked administration rights and all and there is no way to get into the Gateway console.

If your running windows 7, right click on the start menu link and select run as administrator
