We now have several installation that will not update. We are getting the message above. All sites are running debian. What to do? all sites have valid licenses and current subscription.

If you log into the server and run a normal apt-get update && apt-get upgrade you should see whatever the error is. We had a few where the repo for saltstack had been incorrectly configured. You should be able to find the relevant thread by googling the error you get.
