First I must point out that elastix is a great product and this is the first issue that i have had to gripe about.

OK, Here is the deal: I heard that 2.4 is out and i tried to use yum update and this is what happened:
2009020507:asterisk-1.8.20.1-0.3.i386 from elastix-updates has depsolving problems
--> Missing Dependency: libss7.so.1 is needed by package 2009020507:asterisk-1.8.20.1-0.3.i386 (elastix-updates)
2009020507:asterisk-1.8.20.1-0.3.i386 from elastix-updates has depsolving problems
--> Missing Dependency: spandsp >= 0.0.6-0.8.pre21 is needed by package 2009020507:asterisk-1.8.20.1-0.3.i386 (elastix-updates)
Error: Missing Dependency: libss7.so.1 is needed by package 2009020507:asterisk-1.8.20.1-0.3.i386 (elastix-updates)
Error: Missing Dependency: spandsp >= 0.0.6-0.8.pre21 is needed by package 2009020507:asterisk-1.8.20.1-0.3.i386 (elastix-updates)
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
I have a 32bit install with a Wildcard TDM800P Board, 6 lines active and 6 SPA508 phones with BLF working B) YAY!!!! :laugh: and a cisco ata for a fax machine

I am willing to to do a clean install but I have multiple IVRs and time based settings that are hard to reproduce(time intensive) so yum is my best option. P.S. backup done. Thanks for all your help.

Very Respectfully,

Hi,

If you are able to do a test run, try to enable the beta repos and see if you see that problem (note that 'test run' means no messing your production box!)

Regards,
Claudio

I do not want to be disrespectful but it will be awhile before I can complete your suggestion. As soon as I have time to build a test box I'll let you know the results.

Very Disrespectful (just kidding) ;)

On my test box I added the cent OS extras repositories and it worked. After that worked I then ran it on my operational box and it crashed... I reapplied a backup and all is good. I tryed to set my test box to be just like my operational box even with my hardware. Well thank God for backups.
