Hello! I know zoiper is compatible with major PBXs so i tried to use it on my remote instance, but i get STUN server error 59, as if it doesn't exist.
I'm using the 3cx hostname as the stun server hostname with 5060 as port, as i saw on an already provisioned phone. I also tried stun.hostname.3cx.com but it also doesn't work.
Specifically, I'm trying to provision a phone which is not under the same network as the 3cx, so i think stun is essential.
I know i'm getting to the 3cx because i got too many failed authentications from zoiper over my 3cx, but even with the right user (using username and password on the extension main status page) i always get a 404 user not found error. Any help at this point would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi,

Altho Zoiper is compatible with many PBX's it is not supported by 3CX.

3CX has its own softphone and app so why go to the hassle?

We recommend to either use the webclient we provide, or 3CX Phone for Windows (or our mobile apps).

If for whatever reason you need to use a 3rd party client, it may work but it is not guaranteed.

Finally, ensure that the extension is allowed to work remotely by editing it and changing the option below

Note that this is less secure and not encrypted. On the other hand the client we offer can use our own tunnel protocol that is built into them to access the PBX without needing to uncheck the above option.

Thank you, thought it was possible. The 3cx client is not feasable for what we are trying to do, but thank you nevertheless
