3CX Improves Communication Standards for Russian Publishing House
In a bustling industry, requiring employees to stay in constant contact with one another to relay breaking news, the organization needed to update its communication best practices. This decision led the newspaper company to embark on a search for an advanced office phone system with full bodied features and functionality that could meet its unique business needs.
The Challenge
Prior to moving to its current mode of communications, the Krasnodar branch of the Komsomolskaya Pravda Publishing House utilized disparate phone systems rather than an all encompassing business PBX. Yuri Dudnikov, Operations Director, concluded that the organization needed a centralized phone system to standardize and streamline its telecommunications.
After much research, and an exhaustive search for a phone system that could meet all of the company’s needs, including mobility, remote working options, ease-of-use and a way to connect with its Moscow headquarters, Dudnikov found that 3CX Phone System was the most comprehensive choice.
3CX Offers a Solution
3CX Phone System was the only PBX system on the market that matched all of the publishing house’s qualifications, at a reasonable price, and with little downtime incurred by its installation.
After 3CX preferred partner, IT Center, completed the seamless installation of the publishing house’s new phone system, which included 25 GrandStream IP Phones and five external lines, the organization found the rest of its management to be quite simple. For example, the instructions were conveniently translated to Russian so that IT staff could seamlessly manage the system internally. In addition, the phone system’s Windows-based interface made in-house management easy as all functions—from adding phone lines to creating bridges between remote offices—could be completed on a computer.

“Komsomolskaya Pravda – Kuban is the new branch of newspaper ‘Komsomolskaya pravda’. From the opening day our newspaper decided to go with the times and it has paid out. 3CX Phone System provided us with the complete list of necessary telephony features. Thanks to this, our readers can always share their news with us. The PBX from 3CX is the right solution for our business.”

The Results
Once the phone system implementation was completed, the Komsomolskaya Pravda Publishing House noticed immediate improvements in its communications strategy. Employees now use softphones regularly so they can communicate with their colleagues on their mobile devices, taking conversations with them as they go. They also take great advantage of their increased remote working capability.
Employees enjoy the functionality of leveraging one office phone number by way of softphone, even when they are communicating from the road or at home. Now, when journalists are in the field reporting new community stories or conducting interviews they can still remain connected with their colleagues who are also mobile or working in-office.
