Hi All,

I have upgrade v18 - v20.0.0.1494

But I have no system owner rights:-(
I have done a backup by linux and checked the xml file. There for I see following:

<Member DN="25" IsPrimary="false">
<role name="system_owners" />
</Member>
<Member DN="20" IsPrimary="false">
<role name="users" />
</Member>
<Member DN="10" IsPrimary="false">
<role name="system_owners" />
</Member>

So As I understand that means 10 and 25 have system owner rights.
I cant log in as 10 (Thats the old user admin) and I do not know the PW and restting by mail is not possible. But as 25 it is possible but no Admin section is there in the WebUI. Anyhelp here?

BR

Alwin

Did you have IP restrictions for console access set up? That applies to the web client admin now.

bevor Update it was possible to login to admin UI,
I can also Login to UI of the phone part

Thats the view of 25

If the missing admin button is because of console restrictions....
You could try to use SSH tunneling to approach 3CX as the localhost, where console restrictions won't apply

ssh 'your-username' @ 'your-server-ip' -L 5001:localhost:5001
Then open a browser and visit https://localhost:5001

i did the tunneling with putty, i got the 5001 page but they say you need to used fqdn or secure connection with usage of 3cx V20

i tried to login and they said wrong creds again

i got this red top bar message :
3CX Version 20 requires a secure connection to use the web client. You do not use an FQDN or HTTPS to connect to 3CX.

You might try editing your hosts file to override DNS to point that name to 127.0.0.1

Can you tell me what will be the line to add for that host file
I’m not familiar with this

Does dns will be finespeak.3cx.ca (my fqdn)

What OS do you have on your PC? In Windows it is in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and you'll need to run Notepad "as administrator" to edit it. There are example lines in the file. You would add a line:

127.0.0.1 finespeak.3cx.ca

Then your PC will resolve that name to that IP. Delete the line when done.

im actually experiencing the same as this so i will try same resolve

FORGET THAT I GET ACCESS BACK !

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT
