Is there a way (or plans in future) to support auto deleting files that are archived like the system used to allow us to do before remote archiving started being a thing?

The delete recordings/voicemails older that "X" days is greyed out with remote archiving enabled.

But remote archive storage is not indefinite - hence it would be great if we could say after 6 months, start deleting the stored VMs and recordings. as of today, they just continue to stack up in there. cloud storage is relatively cheap, but after you get a few hundred gigs of files in there it does add up.

Was just curious if I was missing something or if it's just a manual process for now. Not every customer is bad about never deleting voicemails and recordings, but quite a few are.

thanks!

When remote archive is enabled, the autoclean features for vmails and recordings are disabled because the remote archive location is used to move vmails, recordings, and other selected files there. We don't have any information on whether this can or will be done.

thank you! maybe some day that can be incorporated. the old way of being able to purge everything after 30 days was nice. thanks again!

It totally makes sense. Hopefully, more partners will like your post so this gets a green light sooner.

You may want to take a look at our 3CX Recording and Voicemail Manager tools. We have separate retention policies for the original recording location and the archive location. For example, you could keep recordings on the 3CX server for 3 months, and archives for 3 years.

Have a like, I would like to see this.
