Department Contacts

Am I missing something as even if I am a member of multiple Departments, I can only see the Contacts for the department I am set to as Default. Is there no way to change this as I have a need to split out contacts but be able to view them from different departments

With department contacts, you can only add them to the default department membership (the one selected when changing the user's settings).

The Department phonebooks also serve as a Company phonebook in Multi-Company Mode (Multi-Tenant). Here each tenant sees a separate Company phonebook that exists on the same level as the Department phonebooks of single tenant instances.

But that is not what I am querying. I want to add someone to 8 departments and as a member of 8 departments they should see 8 department phone books, not just the default as appears to be the case? Is this correct behaviour or is there a setting somewhere I am missing or a role that allows them to see all the department phone books they are a member off?

Ok so, I can only see "Company" contacts and "Dept" contacts that I am in that is my default dept, this is design.
