Upgraded ours without issue via the script. For anyone wondering, the script does also install the update for the SBC software, in addition to the OS upgrade.

I got a stupid question:

To install the HA SBC, we need a clean Debian 12/13 install, correct? If that's the case, any current HA setup will need to be reinstalled, as the script to upgrade won't work as it won't find the marker for the 3CX ISO?

Correct me if I am wrong.

With 3CX still being Debian 12, will there be a separate ISO for Debian 13 with this new SBC?

When I check the box to update and then click download, the check box get unmarked and does not update? Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, if you look at the requirements in the blog post:

  • The system is running Debian 12 (Bookworm).
Since your SBC is V18 it's probably running on Deb 10 (or even Deb 9).

The official downloadable ISO will be updated when the new SBC is no longer a BETA.

I see, you still using the list format for apt. Will you switch to the Debian 13 standard format DEB822?

Hello,

If the HA setup was done using 3CX ISOs, then you should be able to update/upgrade normally via the PBX UI. The 3CX ISO supports the HA install directly and the marker would be there.
Note that , it would be best/recommended if you first did an UPDATE (first of the one SBC, and then the second one when it takes over), and then as a separate step the OS UPGRADE, again one at a time.

So just to be clear... if you're using a Raspberry Pi as an SBC, we should prepare a new SD card and not use the "Download" option on the System > Updates page? Also, it says the software is BETA... so we can skip that and wait for a full release?

This is the first time the System > Updates page has shown any updates available.

Hello @guzzitech ,

This is indeed a beta release, so you can choose to install or not as you see fit.

Regarding Raspberry Pi 5, the online updater will update the SBC part; if you wish to have the OS upgraded from Debian 12 to Debian 13, then you need to do the full install via SD card formatting.

But to be clear, you can't auto-update if the device is running version 18?? So then for a Pi SBC you just do the install process again to update?
