Inquiry About Call Forwarding to External Numbers on Grandstream 2602 IP Phones

I would like to request guidance on configuring call forwarding to external phone numbers using Grandstream 2602 IP phones.

Could you please advise on the following:

• How to enable call forwarding to an external number.
• Whether there is a dedicated button on the phone that can be used for call forwarding.
• Whether there are any feature codes or dial codes that can be used to activate, deactivate, or manage call forwarding.
• Any additional configuration requirements that may need to be completed on the IP phone or PBX system.

I would appreciate any instructions or documentation you can provide.

Did you check the manual of the phone for forwading?

Do you want to forward a call to an external number while a conversation is in progress, or generally—for instance, because the employee isn't at their desk?

If you want to forward calls generally, this can only be done on the PBX side by changing the status.

Please note that the employee was away from their desk and had enabled call forwarding to their mobile phone. We cannot assign a single mobile number for call forwarding, as different employees cover different shifts and require calls to be forwarded to their respective mobile numbers

Hello,

Are you using a single extension that needs to go to a different users mobile on different days? This will be "trouble".

If each user has their own normal extension then a forward to external number for away status can be set on each one, with their own number (u9 screenshot):


and then before they leave the office the can just dial the relevant code ( https://www.3cx.com/docs/pbx-dial-codes/#h.k1evagb3e0i ) to set their status. Note that the away status can also be made to change based on working hours, so no codes needed.
