Department Music on Hold Update

I have seen in the forums that "Department-Specific" Music on Hold was on the product roadmap, but the updates seem to have stopped on it. Is it still being considered, if so, is there a timeline for implementation? I'm with a rapidly growing equity group and having to have a separate instance for each small business simply due to music on hold is likely going to drive us to look for another solution soon if there isn't a resolution on the way.
