Hi,
I have a licensing question regarding 3CX V20.
Current situation:
When I try to replace the license key, I receive:
My goal is simply to reuse my own unassigned subscription on another PBX under the same customer account. This is not a transfer between different customers.
Questions:
I have a licensing question regarding 3CX V20.
Current situation:
- I own two 3CX PRO 4SC subscriptions.
- Both subscriptions are registered under the same customer account (same company and email).
- One subscription was previously used on another self-hosted PBX for about one month.
- That PBX has been decommissioned.
- I have already released the FQDN, and in the customer portal the subscription now shows:
- FQDN: "-"
- Company: mine
- Email: mine
When I try to replace the license key, I receive:
Commercial Keys cannot be replaced
My goal is simply to reuse my own unassigned subscription on another PBX under the same customer account. This is not a transfer between different customers.
Questions:
- Is replacing the commercial key on the existing PBX intentionally blocked in this scenario?
- Is the only supported procedure to deploy a new PBX with the unassigned subscription and then restore a backup from the existing PBX?
- After the current subscription expires, will the replacement become possible, or will the same restriction still apply?
