  1. Installing backup to ftp: beware of existing files !!

This is very strange that you are not able to replicate. the FTp service is that of the QNAP NAS, the user has full rights to write and delete and no encryption applied. the share is accessible both via SMB as well as FTP. (reason that the 3CX v12 is windows based and recordings are copied using...
  2. Installing backup to ftp: beware of existing files !!

You are correct, those 3cx-v15 backups will remain, but everything else will be deleted, so in my case the export of all recordings of my 3CX v12 of the last 4 years went to this Qnap FTP service as well (saved in an open file structure, not zip) and those got deleted.
  3. AVAYA 96xx /9620 Phones

After working on this quite a bit I have decided to stick with v12 for now and not move to v15 debian. there are multiple reasons not to move, but the biggest one is that you can not change the password policy and as such your rule out all the Avaya phones.. (And i have quite a bit and they are...
  4. Installing backup to ftp: beware of existing files !!

Hi guys, fyi, I just had a very unpleasant experience setting up Backup to an ftp location from the Debian 3cx v15. when you use an existing and used/filled location, it will delete ALL the content in that location before starting a new backup. in my case it deleted 25GB of stored recordings...

That is basically why this product is not enterprise ready, I have Avaya phones where I need to work differently with authentication and this is stopping me to adopt a version v15. pity.

  7. External calls drop out

I can confirm the same behavior, external IP is fixed, STUN is turned off, and generally the first call of the day results in audio failure , second attempt is always fine untill there is a new day btw; the firewall is a Draytek 5510 where I have excluded all traffic from and to the provider...
  8. Avaya 9650/9620

all, After wrestling a long time with my 9650 and 9620 phones I seem to be at a stage where it is working, short summary; Avaya 2.6.12 firmware, 2008R2 server, no Vlan's Issues I had were; - every second call attempt was wrong; solved by leaving the password of the extension in the 3cx server...
  9. AVAYA 96xx /9620 Phones

solved on my side by leaving the password empty on the extension on the 3cx server side :( its good that I have a small organization and the server only internal, and a proper firewall to monitor and manage traffic :) still. the Avayas have a strange trick on their authentication method.
  10. Call "silent" sometimes

and here is the proof, does not work in 2008 server (2003 server is not longer supported by MS http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2665809
  11. network configuration

not supported in 2008 r2 server; FYI http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2665809
  12. Port 5000 open

port 5000 is one to close anyway (if you only use 3CX internally and no external devices) port 5000 is a common used uPnP port, and hence at interest to 'others'. having a proper ssl or ipsec VPN and doing voip over there is way more preferred than just opening another hole in your firewall...

  14. AVAYA 96xx /9620 Phones

Thanks Maluvalli, Do i understand you correctly that you have the same issue as I had and that you are using a fake password ? where would this be set ? at the 3CX server or at the login of the phone ? I tried the login of the phone and it does not accept a wrong password. I do know that the...
  15. Gateway IP being blacklisted

is the 3cx server using the second gateway maybe used for other OS related traffic, patches, stun resolving, DNS requests ? what you can try is to block traffic from and to the second IP on the firewall. what I did is only allowing traffic from the 3CX from and to the ISP, any other traffic...

  17. AVAYA 96xx /9620 Phones

to add; same behavior on Asterisk/FreePBX v11/v12 on both issues as well. so I believe it is either the network or the phone. I included the effective 46xx settings , including the comments if the settings work or not; if no comment, then I don't know. SET L2Q 2 SET DNSSRVR 192.168.200.1...

Hi all, 3CX v12, Cisco 525 and Yealink t22, server 2008 on VM, Firewall open from and to the Voip provider on all channels. 3CX only servers the internal 200.9 network. no STUN validation as I state my external IP The issue; when I pick up the horn of the phone and dail my cell, (as an...
  20. Avaya 96xx/Cisco SIP phone - Stutter tone

Re: Avaya 96xx SIP phone Thanks Ineblett, first on Netgear; the issue is that a browser that is able to do more that two (data)sessions (mozilla, IE, Firefox)from a GS724TP (latest firmware) will not have the advanced options that actually make you to really manage a switch (setting LAG ports...
