Hi,

I'm unsure if 3CX supports this, but we have a desk that is shared by our technicians with the one desk phone. Is it possible for technicians to "log in" to this phone with their own extension?

Not sure on the term, is it hotdesking? Also would it require any special handset?

thanks,
Nathan

Does the desk have a PC that technicians log into. If so you could use a soft phone with a USB handset. The soft phone would then have a different profile depending on who logs into the PC. So each technician who have a phone on their own extension.

They will have there own laptop's, but a few of them forget to bring them in so we were planning on having a standard phone. I've found the following thread on the grandstream forum so looks like it can be done.

thanks for your help anyway (your only down the road, we're in lutterworth)

Looks quite a tidy solution.

There is a hot desk feature available with Yealink sets. http://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/hot-desking-with-3cx-phone-system/
