14 SP2 upgrade problems

I’m in the process of doing a proof of concept using 3cx. After upgrading to 14 SP2 and I try to restore the backup from either 14 or 12.5, it says it has to restart the services and once I click ok it goes back to the login screen. No services are restarted and the installation is still a fresh install. Any suggestions?

Ok, I think I've narrowed down that it has to do with getting 404 messages when trying to restart services. Still any suggestions are welcomed.

OK, after researching even more, I finally found this post. http://www.3cx.com/forums/#p174159

the reboot after uninstallation fixed the issue for me.

This also fixed my issue.

Uninstall previous version.
REBOOT
then install new version.
