Nick is it True that you are going to disable CTI mode or Telephone control trough the Windows Client in the near future? Now all are Customers are using the Windows Client, and wont use the Webclients because they have already lots of tabs open and dont what to open another tab because it can be accedently closed.

We will make a way to be able to recreate the default file so you will not need to uninstall and recreate the machine. Point taken. Update 6 will have this. Basically the file in your case was locked.. and then it was not saved properly.

I just tested this again on a server with the full version of SP5 on it and the same thing is still happening. Editing this file is a common step to adjust RTP settings in a multiple instance environment. As it stands, we will only be able to do this so long as SP5 has not been installed. Hopefully update 6 comes soon!

Yes, our plan is for the windows and mac clients to be come mainly softphones - similar to the iOS and Android app. CTI is not going away but will be using CSTA instead and be driven from the web client - which can then remote control softphones, ip phones. The web client will also have an inbuilt webRTC based softphone.

What is the solution going forward for clients that rely on CTI to CRM via triggering an exe from the windows client and passing the call parameters to the exe? We have a large base of clients whose CRM's are not designed or ready for server side integration to 3CX.

Also, for click to call from the CRM, they use the call trigger command to the windows client.

They are going to lose these features/solutions after we provided them?
