I saw a single post on this from a couple of years ago, with no clear resolution.

Has anyone been able to successfully use a 3Com 3102 Business Phone with 3CX? If so a point in the right direction would be wonderful. Phone documentation says they are "SIP compliant" but I am unable to discern exactly how this compliance is acheived. The phones internal settings don't mention SIP, and configuring the IP information to point toward my 3CX host seems to have no effect.

I would greatly appreciate any insight into this problem. Thank you for any help in advance.

From what I've been able to find, it shows that it "Delivers the versatility of 3Com NBX H3 or SIP call control support", which means that you may have to download SIP firmware, if that option is not included in the set that you have. Cisco and others offer phones that can be run on several different platforms as well, but only one at a time.

It could also depend on the age (firmware release) that your particular set(s) have.

Came across this, it doesn't bode well...http://fonality.com/trixbox/forums/trixbox-forums/trixbox-endpoints/3com-nbx-phones
