I used our partner portal to create a system for a potential customer. Told the customer that they have 12 months trail, only to realise they have 2 months. Licence type is 4SC annual but has an expiration period of 60 days. Does this auto-renew or 3cx free 4SC is only free when the customer themselves sign up for it?

Its a 2 month trial.... On premise free license will no longer be available. The new free option is 3CX StartUP

We are in the process of updating the website

Did i understand this right? No free use of 3CX on premise anymore?

Hi @bitn2

Yes, that would be the end-result.

As Nick stated in his first reply in this post "On premise free license will no longer be available. The new free option is 3CX StartUP".

Thats bad, thats no option for some customers because of there sip trunks. The most have paid licences but a fiew not because they dont need it.

Then now they will need it. Don't complain, it's more sales lol

@malex

This is true for new installs. Going forward our new offer is the powerful 3CX Free StartUP which also has a SIP trunk and is a fully functional PBX for up to 10 users.

Existing 4 SC free users will be renewed for another year as we always do. However we will encourage users to move to StartUP and we will provide a migration tool to do so. We reserve the right to renew with less sim calls end of 2023 but this decision has not been taken yet. We do expect partners to encourage customers to either pay or move to startup.

I'm seeing this message on my 4SC Standard Self-Managed instances. The find out more link just takes me to the pricing page. So, what's unclear now is, what will happen in 9 days when the license expires?
Will the system just stop working? Will it be renewed through 2023 as @Nick Galea comment above?

Hi

Yes, if a system expiry date is pass it will stop working!
We have actually renewed/extended the key today and the new expiration date is 30 June 2023.

Just in case you are not on latest version please update to Update 5 and then check you installation and you should see that the new expiration is reflected in your installation!

I too am seeing the expiry warning on my console. It says it will expire on 1/18/2023.
So will it renew per Nick's message in this thread above? Or will it expire and die?
I am running 4SC (free, I thought), self hosted on premises NOT on a Raspberry pi.
I am rather confused as to whether or not I need to do anything.
