3cx Api Make Calls

I'm currently using the Rest API to get call history and the extensions list via

get("https://account.3cx.co.uk/api/CallLog")
and
get("https://account.3cx.co.uk/api/ExtensionList")

I'd like to be able to initiate calls as well based on that information. Is there an API end point I can use to do this?

CSTA or CTI on phones. Like the Webclient.

I''m not sure I understand your response.

We are creating a java-script based desktop application/add on to a third party CRM, for managing call lists and initiating calls.

The idea would be too call in to the 3cx API to initiate the call, using which ever client the dialler has setup to use with 3cx, we would not be handling the call directly ourselves.

I hope that makes sense. Would CSTA make sense for this scenario?

Yes CSTA could work. If not, 3CX Call Control API but there's no docs.
