Hi all,

I am not a tech guy. I am looking for options to use in my company's 3cx application. Currently, we have 1 phone line (let us assume it is an 800 number) for our team. We have no issues in receiving calls through laptop app, iPhone app, and a physical Yealink phone.
Now, we are adding one more line (assume it's a 900 number) and we want to receive calls for both 800 and 900 lines in the same laptop app, iPhone app, and the physical Yealink phone. In our caller ID, we want to know if the call is coming from 800 number or 900 number. Is there a way to achieve this? Or do we need to buy a different software for this?

Add the DID to your trunk, then create a second inbound rule for that DID and point it to the same ring group you're using. Just set a name to both rules and they should appear in the inbound caller name shown on devices.

If it does not appear, go to Console > Advanced > Contacts > Options, last option set it to prepend or append.

No need for CFD for this.

Thank you for the response. Will this work on the phone app as well?

Should. Unless you have contacts in iOS/Android with the same inbound Caller number, then it would use that (specially iOS is doing this.)

@ConceptsWeb I talked to my IT team, and they will try this option. They also told us that we have 2 different 3cx Systems that we are trying to get calls in 1 app. These are not 2 different extensions but 2 different systems. One is located in location A, and the other is located in location B. Would the suggestion you gave still work? Just wanted to confirm.

You won't be able to get calls from 2 systems into 1 app. Only 1 profile can be active at a time in both the Windows app and mobile apps.

That is what my IT team told me. Is there any 3rd party app that we can integrate with 3cx to perform this function?
