Hi all, i was considering deploying 3CX in our bank. we will be having almost 200 branches this year ( more to come in future). every branch has number of users = 30 ( average ). Currently we have 130 branches online.

Now considering the flexibility of 3CX, and its limitation of simultaneous calls to 32 ( in some post i have read 128 ).

Can i deploy 3CX in my environment if i have atleast 5 ip phones per branch that makes a total of 1000 phones in my domain. Any 1 should be allowed to talk to any 1 !!!

Is it possible with 3CX ? ( i was asking this in the context of number of simultaneous calls, because they are too small !!! )

Hello and welcome,
any way it's better to make a server at each branch
to manage internal calls and external calls for local lan
and the calls between branches can use 3CX bridge or a lot of other solutions with 3cx
so 128 call will be enough as I think

Sorry but i am new to 3cx, if i need to deploy 4 servers lets say, do i have to purchase it just once or i have to buy seperate licenses ?

Check
http://www.3cx.com/ordering/pricing.html

and you do not have to pay for 128 calls in all branches

Also, keep in mind your handset to handset calls are not going to be counting against your call capacity.

Just to clarify... Are you saying that internal calls do not count against the concurrent call limits?

Mick.

Hello & Welcome to the 3CX group :P

You could group branches together that are in the same geo location. But 30
users per branch & 130 branches is more that one 3CX can handle. If you
have 1000 phones & everybody gets on the phone at the same time you will
need 10 3CX systems to power everything. You would need a custom 3CX VM
setup to handle all 130 branches & a custom dialing plan to reach each branch.

I take that back, after testing to check, ext to ext calls count as calls.

Damn (I think). You mention 'ext to ext calls' but do internal to internal calls count?

I believe he was specifying Extension to Extension calls, count, which are internal. As I understand it the concurrent call limit is all calls that the server has to process simultaneously, and those are processed by the server. External calls would be limited by Gateways or Voip Provider utilitization, up to the limit of the Server implementation.

Any circuit or complete route is a call. Think of it as "conversations" might be better.

Thanks Matt. I was just being hopeful. It's extremely unlikely that our 30 people will have more than 16 calls going anyway.
