3CX Desktop App - Possible to have same extension registered despite multiple users sharing a computer

Hi there,

The gist is, our environment includes users moving from computer to computer on the daily. Users are rarely using the same computer every day, however the 3cx extensions are computer specific.

i.e. Computer 1 has the extension 101. No matter who is logged into Computer 1, they must have extension 101.However, if a user that has not previously used Computer 1 logs into it, their 3cx will not be registered to extension 101, and we need to re-send the welcome email, or keep the config file handy to re-register the desktop app as extension 101.

The only way I can see to do this, at the moment, is send off the welcome email and re-register each time a user that has not previously used that computer, logs into it. Or keep the 3cx config file on the public desktop or something so when a new user logs into the computer, they can move the 3cx file over.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas regarding a better way to approach this? Effectively I'd just like any user that logs into Computer 1 to get the extension of 101, but I'm not too familiar with 3cx. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Would you be able to expand a bit on the mandatory profile? I can't seem to find any information regarding what that is? Regards

"C:\Users\<username>\Roaming\3CXPhone for Windows" contains the 3CXPhone.xml pretty sure you just put that folder in the default user folder and when someone new logs in, it should create their profile with a copy of it.
