Hello,
I am trying to renew a licence for a customer's 3CX that has expired.

When I go to Replace License Key, and enter the new key, it says:
3CX failed to establish a TCP connection to activate.3cx.com.
Ensure that the local or border firewalls are configured to allow outbound traffic to activate.3cx.com
I can confirm that there is no blocking of any kind on outbound connections.
3CX is running 18.0 Update 6 (Build 908)

How can I get it to take the new licence key?

@kaiserh, you will need to back up your existing installation and install the newest v18 update 9, using your update 6 backup, for your server to reach the Activation server.

Thanks @jed - as it turns out, I don't currently have physical access to this machine, so I'm hoping to be able to sort this out remotely. In another thread https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...a-tcp-connection-to-activation-3cx-com.79805/ @ChrisC_3CX mentioned that there's some commands that can be run to (I'm guessing) update the certificates in the OS and allow re-activation and then an upgrade without having to backup and reinstall from an ISO.

I'm hoping that there is some way I can sort this out without having to backup and reinstall.

Thanks @jed – That was exactly what I'm looking for. I'll give it a go and let you know how it went.

@kaiserh, Great, hope it works for you - Remember the backup with and without the FQDN before "you play";)
Best of luck.
