Hi All. I am currently having an issue with a customers server that we installed a fresh copy of 3cx 15.6a on. The customers server is on a heavily locked down network. We already opened up activation.3cx.com (151.80.125.88) port 443, which allowed us to install. However, once at the dashboard we get a failed activation. (3cx failed to establish a TCP connection to activation.3cx.com). I know that in other posts its recommended to try google DNS but the customer will not open up to a public DNS. Is there something that needs to be done on their private DNS or is there a port/ip that also needs to be opened?

Thanks!

Hi @HalfEvil,

EDIT: V15.5.20000.6 will allow connection to the activation server, as well as anything from v16.5 and above. I know that you mentioned that you allow all traffic to and from activation.3cx.com, can you make sure there are no additional security services running, such as DPI which may disrupt traffic?

Can you check on the Dashboard, the exact version number and provide that?

Thanks for the responses everyone. Version is 15.5.20000.6. We are currently having them check to see if they are filtering packets.

Great, the version won't be a problem then. @HalfEvil, feel free to update me once you know so we can investigate further.
