3CX failed to update. error processing package 3cxpbx

Hi the automatic update failed from 18.0.1.226 to 18.0.2.314 on Raspberry Pi
The log says
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.

When doing that, I get:
dpkg: error processing package 3cxpbx (--configure):
package is in a very bad inconsistent state; you should
reinstall it before attempting configuration
Errors were encountered while processing:
3cxpbx

Can you recommend a next step?

I would take a backup, and reflash the Pi using the latest Raspian Buster image, and reinstall from scratch.
