3CX For Raspberry PI Completely Shutdown as of 12/31/2022!!

Hey Guys, Bad news. I just got off with a Tech at 3cx. The Raspberry PI has been shut down! Version 18SP2 was the last update for the Pi. The license server will only activate on Version 18SP5.

Yes, I have two small customers out there with no phone service today.

It's just incredible how unprofessional service was terminated. There was never a "WARNING: SERVICE TO BE SHUT DOWN" email, or a large banner inside of the portal stating "THIS SYSTEM WILL BE DEACTIVATED ON 12.31.2022" which should have been displayed.

This is not news I am afraid.

Also, all Raspberry pi users received an email about them needing to upgrade to version 18 update 5.
However, I doubt the reason your licenses are not working is this.
Please send us an email at [email protected] with the licenses in question in order for the relevant team to check this.

Sorry you are uninformed. Rapsberry Pi was capped at version 18 update 2. There is no version 18 update 5 for the Raspberry pi. The license server no longer works with version 18 update 2 and without a license server to access as of 12/31/2022 usage is now so limited it is unusable. You basically bricked the Raspberry Pi. . If you need any more outside assistance, I can advise.

Thank you for your insight but I am not uninformed.
I never said anything about upgrading your Raspberry Pi to version 18 update 5 as it was clearly explained on the blog by our CEO provided in the link in my earlier reply.
Thank you for your outside assistance, we appreciate any advice.
In case you did not read the blog, I will provide the alternatives to using your Raspberry Pi below:

Your options would be:
1. Migrate to either Hosted by 3CX or a different self-hosted solution and use your Raspberri pi as an SBC (Session Border Controller - https://www.3cx.com/docs/3cx-tunnel-session-border-controller/)
2. Use StartUP as suggested on the post as well

Not my experiences yet on Raspi v18 U2 b314, it is still running.
Standard Licenses expired on 12/31/2022 via Dashboard information but via 3CX portal it is extended for 6 month as awaited.
Since now BLF feature is killed in 3CX Standard version and doesn't worked anymore on configured phones since new year... ;-(

I'm still running my Raspi installation and the Standard License is the awaited evergreen, now for 6 month more until end of this year...

@Bronko Your license key it is not able to activate. Also, there can be the issue that the FQDN will be replicated from the license key, due to no activation. You should take a full backup and then reinstall it on the latest supported version. In your case, it must be a small install anyway, so you could use 3CX hosting and use the PI for the SBC and connect your phone to the PBX which will be hosted with us.
