Hi,

I have been trying to find a link that explains what each icon and colour next to each extension actually mean in 3cx phone for windows, but i could not find any.
For example, red with a white dash in the middle means Do Not Disturb, while red means busy.
Could you point me to a resource that explains each icon / colour?

Thank you,
George

Hi @George Ts,

The option you're speaking about has been deprecated. You're referring to the status colour that shows on the 3CX Windows App when using the *61 dial code. This should no longer be used. I would update your users and tell them to use the *3 + number outlined in the link below (0 = available, 1 = away etc. e.g *31 = away), or change your status by clicking the drop down underneath the extension name.

Hi @VasilisV_3CX
Thank you for your prompt response.
Actually my question is different:
Where can I find an explanation of what each color means?

For example, in my 3cx for Windows app, I see some users being Green which means Available.
I see some other users being Yellow, which means Busy now.
Etc.
The target is t to know what each color means.

Is there any document explaining the mapping between Color and Status?

Thank you,
George

@George Ts,

At present there is no document specifically outlining the colours beyond what the academy does. There should only be yellow plus the ones that are outlined in the academy.

Are there any specific colours you'd like to inquire about that was not covered by the Academy page I linked above?

Hi @VasilisV_3CX
I think i have happened to see more icons from time to time, like for example the red icon with the white dash that i saw today, which are not covered in the guide above.
We had to struggle a lot until we found that a user had mistakenly dialed *61 (instead of *62 that they intended to dial, so that they log in to a queue) and thus set their extension to that icon Status.
Unless there are more icons I may be missing, i think the academy link above helps for now and we can close this thread.
In case there are more icons than the 5 types of status mentioned in the academy link (green=available, light green=custom1, yellow=away, red=dnd, pink=custom2) please let me know.

Thank you,
George

Hi @George Ts,

Those should be the only ones you need. The rest are deprecated and no longer used. Sometimes people accidentally type something like *61 instead of *62 as you mentioned but there shouldn't be any further surprises to add to that.

Please feel free to update me if you come across any others that I should look into.
