Solved 3CX Hosted / Custom Templates

Are there any plans to allow Custom Templates under the 3CX Hosted installations?

I recently setup a new system with Fanvil phones, and they really don't like the default ring tone.

I've tried changing it via the phone's interface, but it reverts back after provisioning.

The ringtone option in the extension settings is only effecting internal calls, not external call.

Unfortunately custom templates are restricted in 3CX hosted instances.
If you use your own hosting of course, you can do whatever you want on the machine because you have full access to it.

But be aware when using custom templates: the author of the template also takes the responsibility to constantly update and monitor stock template changes which might affect or break custom templates, or cause other undesired behavior on your system.

I understand custom templates are "at your own risk". However, it seems to be the only way to change the external ringer on Fanvil phones. If 3CX could add that option under the extension settings, that would be great. I have another installation with the same issue, but using Snom phones.

@coreybrett81 you can change the Default Ring Tone on the Phone provisioning tab of the extension >>
Options section. Check attached screenshot.

I've tried that. It only effects "internal" calls. External calls are not affected.

@coreybrett81 yes its for internal calls but you can setup Queue and distinguish the ring tone.
I can understand what you are saying but in Hosted by 3CX no custom templates can be applied.
