I understand that it's best to deploy via PBX Express in GCP, LightSail or Azure marketplace.

Based on the admin guide seems like installing 3CX in the cloud on the Windows server is not officially supported. Is that true?

Thanks in advance.

Windows in the cloud is sketchy sometimes. I'd recommend going with a Linux instance.

I don't remember this kind of asking ,why do you want to use windows on cloud pbx?
is it because you're afraid of linux ?

Thanks @aws2p and @Frederick Marcoux

Not afraid of Linux, in fact, I want to deploy 3CX in Linux . Reason I asked the question because 3CX is supported/tested on Linux Debian 9 (kernel 4.9) only. We use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and only linux offering they have are the following:

14264

What do you guys think?

you are not free to install your own distribution in their VM?
why not using Amazon or Google or OVH ?

Debian 9 is supported for now but in near future Debian 10 will be supported

Like @aws2p said above, can't you use your own ISO? Like the 3CX one?

If not, why not Google, Azure, AWS or OVH? Like he said.

Didn't get a chance to confirm own distribution in their VM, will check later today ( i think it should be able to).

We get plenty of discounts using Oracle. more is merrier!

Are they OpenStack compatible? If so, you might be able to use PBXExpress.

lightsail monthly cost is about 7 to 10 US $ , OVh is about 12€/ month for a dual core , 6gb ram, 40Gb SSD

Hmm, there's a 3.50$US size and I use the 5$ ones for my small customers. It's just enough.

lol, I saw that too, lightsail is pretty cheap. Our phone usage is not much, got 37 extensions, and have never seen more than 1 call in use.

I think $10 plan might be sufficient for me?

Yes, the 10$ should be enough. I manage 4-5 on a 5$ instance without issues. Could probably do more!

Can't use 3CX provided ISO. Following these steps to install 3CX on Debian 9 (Ubuntu 18.04) and getting these errors.

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
3cxpbx : Depends: libssl1.0.2 but it is not installable
Depends: libicu57 but it is not installable
Depends: libcurl3 (>= 7.52.1) but it is not going to be installed

E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages

Debian is not Ubuntu. I thought of that but my guess was it would give package errors, just like it gave you.
