3CX Installation on Hyper-V

I have a client that requires an on premise 3CX installation on Hyper-V. The question has arisen if the LAN interface has to be physical or can it be a Hyper-V interface. The installation guide for installing 3CX on Windows (https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/phone-system-installation-windows/) mentions the following

• Do not configure the 3CX host machine with a virtual network, VPN interface ..............

Does the "virtual network" statement reference relate to a VLAN or virtual interface?
