Hi, I would be glad if somebody can help me out

How long does the free standard version last? I know that you get pro for 45 days, but I install a grandstream HT813 will this still work afterwards? 3CX will be for internal use only and is for intercoms only.

My other question is, if I fit the 813 can I connect our PSTN line and then use my SIP intercom to re-direct calls to outside mobile line? I don't need a SIP trunk as we have a PSTN line on site.?

Thanks

Yes, the HT813 will still work after 45 days when the license is downgraded- this is a FXS device and is not affected by the license change.

if you setup outbound rules correctly, and if the SIP intercom allows outbound dialling yes you can call outside of the 3CX system.

Just remember - PSTN lines only allow one call at one time

Thanks for the quick reply, im not sure if the intercom will allow outbound, but If I can create a group to call and after a certain rings it can divert to the next group which calls the pstn mobile, the number would have to be inserted into the 3cx?

Hi @incentive

Please note that the HT813 is not officially supported. I think it acts as an ATA (not a gateway) to connect an analog phone to a VoIP PBX, and offers a backup PSTN line for when there is a power outage.

I don't know if it will work in the way you want it (convert a VoIP call to go out to PSTN line). Even if it did you would have to set up a trunk that registers to the device as a PSTN gateway.

Hi Tony,

If you have a PSTN line then you will definitely need to buy an FXO Gateway to convert it to SIP so that 3CX can use it, but it may be more cost effective in total to use a SIP Trunk if the site already has internet access.

Note you cannot redirect calls if you have a single PSTN line, but a SIP Trunk that allows more than 1 active call at any given moment will give you this flexibility, even if you have a single phone number.
