I have had this happen multiple times now and it is getting a little irritating.
I do 'not' have the checkbox checked for "automatically update 3CX" and yet my G-Cloud 3CX has
quite often updated itself, usually at the worst possible time. It just now updated itself from 15.5 to 16,
in the middle of the day, which is horrible, considering there's a call center on the PBX that got shut
down for a few minutes because of this.

How can I ensure that 3CX will only update itself when I 'manually' tell it to, rather than whenever it pleases?
That checkbox apparently is not accurate.

I've never had a system auto-update. Is this a manual Debian install or 3CX ISO based? I'm guessing manual and Debian auto-updates is the culprit.

It is a PBX Express install to Google Cloud.
Any suggestions on turning off the Debian auto-updates?

Ahh ok. I always do manual installs but I imagine that check box should stop it in that case with the Debian ISO. I'd open a ticket with support in that case.

Just 2 cents. We use ISO and PBXExpress most of the time and this never happens. Definitely open a case on that one....

I think more that you instance restarted and on one of the first versions of PBX express a command triggered to launched the cloud.ini again (google runs at every start of a VM the deploy script again and again and agin). \this will call apt-get and causes any update. later version on PBX express have a altered deploy u script which checks if the script run already and terminates. But Imust assume you instance is more then 1 year old!
