Solved 3CX manage -- BLF -- Ring group extension

Hi,
I am new at this, so please excuse all my dumb questions. ^_^ I am trying to figure out how to batch config all phones with line key. I even went to manually setup 19 individual phones' web interface. Now all the work I did disappeared, no line keys. I assume the 3cx config template overwrote the phone's. So now I am doing it manually from the 3CX management console. The only problem is it doesn't allow me to set the BLF to a ring group. There's just a drop down menu with extension for each user, but not a ring group extension.

1) How can I set up the ringgroup extension for a line key without doing it on the phone since it will be overwritten by 3cx?
2) How I can I batch this so I won't have to do it on each phone manually?

Hi,

Navigate to Admin->System->Options->Apps end unhide the system extensions.

My options are all unchecked, except the square at the bottom. There is the Speed Dial that allows me to type in a number I want and that works.

Do you know if there is a way to export that from the 3CX console and import into another phone?

Phones reprovision from the 3CX server daily so any changes on a phone will be overwritten.

You can bulk edit users...select 2+ users/extensions in the Users list, and click the "Edit (2)" button. "Leave unchanged" is shown if the two have different settings for that button.

Edit: after changing those, you may need to reprovision the phones. Thought I want to say that recently changed and it may be automatic now...? It's instant for the software clients.

However, you can have a speed dial to a ring group, meaning you press the button and it will call that ring group.
This can be set up in the BLF buttons as SPEED DIAL, not BLF.
The BLF function—meaning to see the status of a ring group—is not possible, unlike being able to see the status of a phone (ringing, busy, or idle). This does not correlate with a whole group, so the BLF function will NOT work on groups.

Ah, Busy Lamp Field, that makes sense. I learned something today. Thank you. Though I did manually do that on the phone's web interface and it allowed it and works just like a speed dial. though I didn't pay attention to how the button lighted up. Thank you for pointing that out.
