3CX Multi-tenant

Just looking for some info on the multi-tenant set up.

Does multi-tenant have a switcher in the UI that lets you switch between the different companies you have? Or do you need to set up a "department" to act as each individual company? If the latter, what do you do if the 2 companies you want to put in the multi-tenant instance use the same extension numbers/ranges? What if that company has multiple departments?


Any guidance is appreciated.

Hi @RelionZach the Multi company switch that you see within the dashboard turns a dedicated system to Multi company.




After the pbx have been set to Multi Company, then you need to create the departments for the different companies that you will host there. Each company will use its own extension range, you can not use the same extension numbers between the companies.

If a company have multiple departments means they are more than 10 users, they need a dedicated pbx.

Companies that just need the basics and are not more than 10-15 users then host them in the Multi Company system.
