3CX Music On Hold

Hi All!

I was given the task to change the onhold music on a clients 3CX Phone System. I thought this will be pretty straight forward, but it wasn't.

The problem which i find strange is that when i log onto 3CX > Settings > General > Music on Hold (and press play button the on hold music section). The music that is played on the phone is completely different from the music being played when I am placed on hold from the phone.

Also I am unable to locate the onhold.wav file on the server?

Please advise how the on hold music can be changed on the 3CX phone system.

What kind of phones... Is it possible the phones have their own moh file?

The phones are Yealink SIP-T38G.

The hold music is currently the same as (which is the default 3cx music)

but when i hit play from the 3cx server, it plays something different. This is what i dont understand?

onhold is located in
C:\ProgramData\3CX\Data\Ivr\Prompts

General>Music On Hold is literally for on hold.
To change the music while a customer is in a QUEUE can be set on the queues under "Other Options"

I have sucessfully located the onhold.wav in the directory you mentioned above and it is the music that i wanted to hear.

I still find it strange that the 3CX console play button, plays something that is completely different when i enter the extension for it to play...
