Hi,

I am a new 3cx user. I have installed 3CX on Amazon EC2 under windows 2008 (32bit), I have set up 2 extensions but my sip phone (PhonerLite, Zoiper, SipLite) cannot register with the 3CX. I have shut down the Windows firewall on the EC2, I have opened up all the ports on the EC2. When I run the 3CX firewall test, I reports them all as open. I have tried to register with the public IP, private IP and have set up an Elastic IP. I had no luck with any of these.

I have done a search on here and some people have had similar issues, and they may have got it to work but have not posted a solution. Has anyone got 3CX running on Amazon EC2? Does anyone else have any ideas on how I could get it to work.

perhaps runnign wireshark on the amazon server would help see what is occuring - if the sip request is even getting that far.

The extension must be allowed outside the LAN and/or tunnel.

I have tested my sip phone with my asterisk and it works fine, so it is definately working from my end. Will have a look at wireshark.

Not sure what you mean. Could you give me some more information.

Thanks

The extension must be allowed outside the LAN and/or tunnel.

Under each extension is a checkbox option to allow using the extension out side the lan. since the Ip address is not in the same subnet as the server (amazon) you must allow this for each extension trying to connect.
