3CX on Debian 9.1 Continued

I Installed 3CX on a fresh install of Debian 9.1.

Imagine my surprise when it installed without a burp or complaint.

Previously I had sent my router to serve out a constant IP of 192.168.1.250

So I told 3CX on installation that the eno1 address was 192.168.1.250. This seemed to work just fine.

I got the message ": Congratulations your 3CX installation is ready. You can access the 3CX Management Console at: .....

And this is where the Hiccups began.

Using https://"FQDN".3cx.us:5001 failed with a message Firefox cant establish a connection.

Using https://"IPaddress":5001 fails with the same Firefox message Unable to connect. The information box says the connection is not secure.

Using http://"IPaddress":5001 fails with the same messages.

Using http://localhost:5001 got me a 400 Bad Request. Plain http request sent to HTTPS port.

Using Https://localhost:5001 got me Your Connection is not secure. The owner has not configured their website correctly. To protect you, Firefox has not connected to this site.

Suddenly I see and "Advanced" Button.Clicking this gets me

Localhost:5001 used an invalid security certificate.
This certificate is only valid for "FQDN".3cx.us
Err code SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN.

Progress. Which is probably what I deserve. Clicking on "Add Exception" in Firefox allows Firefox to override the Certificate error.

And suddenly I'm into the 3CX Management Console.

Which is when I notice there is no 3CX Soft Phone. Which is like the queen having no jewels. I think this means I can't use the program until its ready for release! or I figure out how to use another softphone.

A minor point of Human Factors. There is a very very slight hint the cursor and input is active in the name and password boxes. I missed it the first few times.

Keep in mind I am a novice at this stuff. I could be doing something dumb and not realize it.

Please note that when trying to connect to a local IP you should use port 5000 not 5001. So it should be http://"IPaddress":5000 or
http://localhost:5000. When using the secure https port you will get the error you are describing.

Now to use the 3cx client create an extension under the extensions tab and enter your email address. once created press the send welcome email button. You should receive an email that contains the link to download the client for all platforms. Choose the platform you wish to download the client to and proceed with the installation. To provision the client just download the attachment included in the email.

I received the link to download the client. For all platforms. Except it didn't include Debian/Linux.
Will that be added soon? Would Android work?

divert & transfer calls with a mouse click and setup call conferences.

To install it click on the relative link:

1. Windows
2. Mac
3. Android
4. iOS

After installation, open the attachment in this email on your device. This will automatically configure your client.

Two more questions

When I have this working, can I transfer my Pro number across from my windows version?. or will I need to reinstall from the beginning?

Also, will there be an integration module for ACT! and for SuiteCRM or Sugar CRM ?

Glad the issue is resolved. To transfer a licence key to a different installation you need to re-install the system. If you are going to transfer the whole configuration to a windows environment you can perform a backup without licence and FQDN. once the backup is complete save the backup to a non 3cx location and un-install the system.
Install the system to your windows machine and restore your backup. Once you are asked type your key. The FQDN will remain the same as before as it is bound to the key. (if you wish to change it you will to access your costumer portal and release prior to the installation)
Your config will be imported.
