Hello,

I have a customer running 3CX on-premises, installed on a physical server using the 3CX Linux appliance.

They’ve been reporting consistently low call volume, so I enabled call recording for analysis.

When reviewing the call recordings in Audacity and comparing them to recordings from another 3CX instance, the waveforms are noticeably quieter, confirming the issue.

We’ve tested with two different handsets: a Fanvil X7 and a Yealink T57W.

The SIP trunk is provided by Gamma, with PCMA and PCMU codecs configured on both the trunk and the handsets.

On the 3CX system itself, the codec order is: PCMA, PCMU, G722, G729, OPUS.

Has anyone experienced similar volume issues or have suggestions for further troubleshooting?

Hi,

Is that audio capture Trunk <-> 3CX , 3CX <-> phone or Trunk <-> phone. Do both legs of the call sound quiet or just one direction?

If you call in from another phone? Tried answering from 3CX PWA/mobile apps etc?
