3CX PBX Hosted in Google Cloud for Beginners

For remote phones to connect to google cloud 3cx, do I just need a SBC deployed on my LAN?
Is Yealink reliable, trouble free recommended phone?
What is a best supported Yealink phone for reception that is convenient for transferring multiple calls?
To integrate 1 fax machine, is Grandstream HT801 the simplest way to do this?
How much does 3CX PBX Hosted in Google Cloud on average cost per month from experience?
Since 3cx on Google cloud is VM, does it support restore from snapshots?

Depends on how many phones you want. If there is few phones, you can provision them by STUN method but if you want 3+ phones I'll say go for a SBC.

We use Yealink phones and Snom phones, they're both nice, Snom is better on network side but Yealink phones are easy to use and cheaper.
For a receptionist, I'll highly recommend the T48S.

I never used this for fax but use 3CX Fax Server if customer only receive Fax, never send and we use Fax2Mail a lot now.

Idk for Google Cloud but OVH is 3€/month excluding taxes.

google cloud has snapshot feature, cost depends on your use, it's cost related to hardware consumption so it can vary a lot if you use a few or a lot.

if fax is always something important for you, then keep a land line, almost it works all the time . if it's for occasional use so 3Cx server can be a solution or an external fax to mail service can also be an easy solution.
My prefered phone brand is Snom.

a. For Standard license there is no switchboard, does that mean reception cannot manage calls?
b. For Standard license allowing only use of 3cx for SMTP, what kind of issues I might encounter?
c. For Standard license, am I forced to upgrade the version every year or can I keep running the version I like?

a. Switchboard is a Call Queue feature so without it you can still answer call and manage them with 3CX Client

b. I only use 3CX SMTP and had no issues with that but if you want you can manage your own SMTP.

c. You can keep standard licence for all the time you want.

C - Is your question related to perpetual licence vs annual?
if you are interested in STD key you can use for free to 16SC for fisrt year and become 8SC after.

this is not a good idea at all to think about staying stuck to a 3CX version and have no more changes and updates

I believe C is whether the OP can stay on v16 or not. The answer is going to be that you have to stay on a supported version or at least move up to a supported version when it comes time to renew your license. 3CX historically has supported the current and previous versions.

My first Choice is Snom , they are easy to install, easy to use, sound is good. in last 6 years, i've got only one phone with a hardware failure.
Snom is not the best price brand so it depends on your budget, in D7xx series you have a range of actual good phones, some are available in white
