3CX Phone - dynamically assigned port number?

Hello,

I have the following issue. Every time 3CX Phone connects to 3CX Phone System it gets a random port number (i.e. 1.2.3.4:51126). I cannot see an option to make it static. Due some restrictions, a Firewall cannot be setup as follows:

Source: 3CXPhoneSystem:5060
Destination: 3CXPhone:<random>

... and firewall should be setup as follows:

Source: 3CXPhoneSystem:5060
Destination: 3CXPhone:<static>

Could you give an suggestion how to make it work?

Admittedly, (on my current PC I'm using an older version 6), but, in the Preferences/General Network Settings/Local SIP Port, there is a tick box (Any) next to the port setting. If that is checked, then the port could vary, otherwise it should use the port that you choose.

Later versions may have it slightly different, but should still allow you to set the local port.

That said, I have seen some routers that do port substitution, so no mater what you start out with at the remote end doesn't mean that the same port number is what "reaches" 3CX.

What make/Model routers are you using at each end? That (options) may be having an affect.
