Hello,
we are in the process of updating our 3CX version to v18 and would like to know what does legacy mean in the context of the 3CX Phone for Windows application? Will it remain compatible with 3CX v18 but will not recieve any updates or will it stop working at a certain point in the future?
In the latter case is there any time reference on when it will happen?

Thank you for you time.

Regarding your questions, you are correct on all but the later. It will continue to work for as long as it is able to be installed/ provisioned and compatible on a windows machine.

If something is changed by Microsoft that renders the app incompatible then that is that.

As far as compatibility with the latest 3cx system versions goes and apart from not being able to schedule a web meeting using the 3cx app for windows, most all other features work as expected.

SMS/WhatsApp/LiveChat also don't work on that old app. Only internal chat.

You are welocme to add to my final reply, SMS can also be received by the 3cx app from windows and replied to. Video conference scheduling and quick meetings are also possible, there was an issue with this, but it was rectified a while back with the final build.
