3cx phone looses ringtone

One of our users looses the ringtone some days after installation. Only way to recover has been to uninstall / reinstall the 3cx phone.
When the ringtone is lost everything else works normal, the user can place and answer call but there is no ringtone on incoming calls.
We checked the sound settings, everything is set to primary sound driver.
This is on windows 8.1 using latest version of 3cx phone.

Any idears ??

Given that it is one PC, would suggest that some other audio application is "interacting" with the 3CX phone. I assume that this still occurs after a re-boot of the PC?

I would go into the task manager (or whatever Win 8 uses) and see if there is another audio application that is also running, and that starts automatically. If you have other PCs of the same make/model, then you have something to compare against. What is installed in this PC, that isn't, on the other(s).

Also, please check Sounds\ringtone.wav in installation folder.
Is it still there when you have no ringtone? Can you play it in your Media Player?
