3CX Professional Version 20.0 Update 8 (Build 1131 Release) Internal and External (Queue groups) ringtone

I have a customer who has asked if I can change the Ringtone for internal and External calls. Most of the Externals calls hit Queue groups. As they have 3CX Pro 16 licence I can see they cannot have individual ringtones for each queue unless they have 3CX Enterprise. At the bottom of Users->IP Phones under Customise Call and Queue Ringtones you can change default ? Now I have changed it as Ring 2. So does this change both internal ringtone and external ring tone to Ring 2 or can I different ring tones for internal and External (Queues) ? I have gone through other threads but not sure if this is acheivable with the Pro licence. They are using Fanvil X4U V2 phones. I asked the customer to test this and make an internal call and then ring the DDI of the call queue and they both play the same ring tone internal and external on a phone in the queue group.

Queues are affected by the Queue Ringtone option in the same menu in Users > IP phones. You need Enterprise License to have different ringtones for each Queue. In Pro you can select one ringtone for all Queues.
The Default Ringtone in the same menu is for any Internal calls on the Extension.

So under Customise Call and Queue Ringtones there is only 1 option called Default Ring tone which basically means it is the same ringtone for internal and Queue ringtone. I cant have internal and external queue calls with different ring tones.

The ringtone options are different for the Default and the Queue.



If you still have enabled the option " Use custom ringtones per queue" then you can have different ringtone per queue.
Keep in mind that this is only available to Enterprise License.





In Pro Licenses, you can enable the option " Use custom ringtones per queue," but it will be greyed out in the Users > IP Phone > Customise Call and Queue Ringtones.
