Hello,

I would like to know how is the Call Cost calculated in 3cx reports.
I am trying to have a report with costing for international Calls with a rate of 0.15, 0.25 starting with prefix 020.

However in my reports as shown below

As you can see the cost for this call is 0.02 which can't be good. As the rate is 0.15

Can you please advise on the following. Maybe I am missing something.

Thank you.

The calculation is: Total Cost = Talking time * Rate where a rate of 1.0 means 1.0 per 60 seconds of talking time (1 minute).
In your case what was the talking time?

My talking time was 00:02:22

With a rate of 0.15

Have you restarted the PBX services after making the changes?

yes everytime i did a change on the Call Cost menu for the rate i restarted the Services.

Does CDR need to be taken into consideration ?

This is how it is for now.
To stop any misinformation I've eliminated all other Prefix as we used 0 for calls.

Is the call directly answered from the destination?

@gregory.b
Please note that the old data rate for the calls that have been made, will remain as it's already saved into the database and those values can't change.
Now for the new calls, do you still see the change?

I will test the following and revert back
Thank you for your clear explanation. That's an important part I would have never guess it.

@gregory.b
I guess it makes sense as new changes in the price update won't affect all other calls, as like that you could lose all track of older calls, that maybe had a different rate some time ago.
Let us know how it goes

This thread answered some of my questions about call costs, but I have a related question. When entering the rate in the Call Costs menu, it does not allow me to enter rate for a decimal place more than two. For instance, the rate for UK on Bandwidth.com is
0.00495, so it does not allow me to enter it, it says invalid number.
